What is a Boulderite? Download Boulder Colorado Relocation Guide
“Boulderite” someone who lives and prefers to live in Boulder Colorado, possibly a liberal on most everything, an environmentally and healthy conscious person, a “green living” focused person, someone that loves bike to work in the snow, a person that loves to run or bike UP the mountain, someone that drives a Subaru, a person that loves to talk about Boulder issues. I tried to tell my mother that they make hot dogs out of prairie dogs here in Boulder but she couldn’t believe anyone would hurt those cute little things. OK, you’re starting to get the picture, and yes, I’m just joshin with you about the prairie dogs, but it’s always fun to learn about the quirky things that people want you to know about their town….so on that note can you believe that that our oldest hotel in Boulder, The Hotel Boulderado, was named by combining Boulder and Colorado so no visitor would ever forget where they had stayed (that’s creative!) and did you know that Robert Redford was a janitor at The Sink (corner of 13th and Pennsylvania, on the hill), before moving on to become famous! Also, did you know that parts of the movie “Sleeper,” with Woody Allen, were filmed at the National Center for Atmospheric Research right in Boulder and what was that movie that Jack Nicholson was in where is daughter got married – About Schmidt – the church is here in Boulder on the left as you are driving out of town on Rt 36. Oh and here’s another interesting fact: Baseline Road is a significant east-west route, not just to Boulderites, but also to cartographers, because it marks the 40th parallel on maps of the Earth. Furthermore, Boulder is home to the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, the only authentic handcrafted Persian teahouse in the Western Hemisphere …..and I bet you already knew this one…or remember this one, that the exterior of the house located at 1619 Pine Street was used as the characters’ home in the well-known “Mork & Mindy” television show, staring a fresh young Robin Williams. Boulder is know for so many things, not to mention home to many international and highly educated people. OK, enough you say, where’s the Relo Guide?
